IAAP Regional Chapters
IAAP Regional Chapters serve as local hubs, connecting our global mission to define, promote, improve, and diversify the accessibility profession with the needs of local communities. Members can find meaningful local connections, which are integral to our mission, and grow within our worldwide accessibility professional network.
Chapters Mission
Our Regional Chapters’ mission is simple. Leaders and experts aim to promote accessibility within their region. Chapters create a space for local accessibility practitioners to gather and share knowledge. The lead Chapter organizations and their representatives are charged with promoting IAAP membership and our training and certification programs.
Chapter Lead Organization
Each Regional chapter is led by a representative of the lead organization who shares IAAP values and a strong interest in advancing the accessibility profession locally. Lead organizations actively promote the value of IAAP membership, education, and certification programs. Chapter Leaders are responsible for coordinating local activities and fostering networking in their country and region. They can also invite local interested members to participate in their Chapter Advisory Council, a platform where members can provide feedback and direct guidance to IAAP Global, ensuring that the global organization is responsive to local needs and concerns.
